Karen Boodman

Welcome to our counseling department webpage! I am Karen Boodman, which rhymes with "Goodman" (I don't get offended if you mispronounce it!) I get to work with students whose last names begin with ST - Z. Students may come in and make an appointment to see me whenever they need to discuss college applications and admission requirements, personal concerns, grades, transcripts, progression towards graduation, volunteer opportunities, conflict resolution, scholarship applications, or almost any other issue out there! When I am not at Northglenn I like to hang out with my friends, my dog, my cat, and also knit an occasional scarf or two.

Stacey Neumann

Hi, My name is Stacey Neumann, and I am excited to be a part of the great community and tradition of Northglenn High School. In the counseling department, I work with students whose last names start with P-Sp. I believe that all students can experience success and I enjoy working with students to explore their own unique path in life. Students can meet with me to explore college and career planning, talk about personal concerns and academic concerns, or just check in to tell me about the great things that are happening in their lives.

After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS degree in Human Rehabilitative Services, I worked in the non-profit sector with young adults in an education & work program. I truly enjoyed this work but felt that the school setting is really where I wanted to be, therefore I returned to college to obtain my Master of School Counseling degree.

When I am not at Northglenn, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and two dogs. I love to spend my summers hiking, camping and traveling. In the winter, I tend to hybernate and enjoy reading by the fireplace with a cup of cocoa.

Anjela Schwab

Hello! My name is Anjela Schwab.  I love being a part of the Northglenn High School community.  As a counselor, I am excited and energized by the new challenges that face the students of today.  I hope to encourage all students to make their education a positive in their lives.  Most of all, I hope to provide students with a sense of accomplishment and belonging, teaching them that diversity is the key to life and education is a means to anything you want to be.

I graduated with a degree in Counseling Education and Rehabilitation Services from Penn State University (Go Nittany Lions!) where I attended on an athletic scholarship.  After graduation, I coached at a Division I university in Louisiana.  A BIG alligator on the field one morning scared me right onto a plane headed back to Colorado.  I worked in the athletic department at the University of Colorado while I got my master’s degree in Secondary and Post Secondary Counseling with an emphasis in Student Personnel Administration.

Michael Stelling

Howdy folks! My name is Michael Stelling. I have had the pleasure of working at Northglenn High School for three years. My career in education began in Las Vegas Nevada, where I taught social studies and US history. While I was teaching in Las Vegas I earned my masters degree in educational counseling and moved from the classroom to the counseling office. Along with being a counselor at Northglenn High School, I am an assistant wrestling coach and extra curricular advisor for the International Friends Club. My passions include competitive sports, adventure sports, traveling, and the Green Bay Packers. I am proud to be one of the biggest Cheese Heads in the state of Colorado.
