Rene BeVier Dill

Rene BeVier Dill, a Northglenn High School graduate and drama student, received her training at the University of Northern Colorado, attaining degrees in Theatre Arts, with emphases in Acting, Directing and Teaching, as well as a degree in English. Rene discovered her love for the theatre as a performer, where she was a familiar face in many local theatre companies and dinner theatres. Some favorites roles include Ilona Ritter in She Loves Me, Kathy Seldon in Singing in the Rain, and Bianca in Taming of the Shrew. After graduating from UNC, Rene relocated to New York City to further her training. She took courses in film and commercial acting at the Creative Acting Company, scene study at the Atlantic Theatre Company, and studied voice with renowned Broadway and Opera teacher, Sherrie Anderson. Rene also taught at the nationally acclaimed Theatre and Dance Alliance (TADA!), a youth theatre company that specialized in theatre outreach in the public schools. Rene taught in every borough of New York City, working as a director and choreographer, before she was offered the job at her alma matter. The summer of 2005, Rene received a fellowship to study at Shakespeare’s New Globe Theatre in London for three weeks. She was immersed in instruction on movement, voice and language, from the Globe Theatre masters, and was even given the opportunity of a lifetime to perform a scene from The Tempest on the Globe Stage! Rene is so happy to be at Northglenn, where the students are second-to-none, and the arts are encouraged to flourish. She would love to thank the three loves of her life, her husband, Brandon, a very talented composer and singer, Jackson, an extremely energetic Wildcat at Westview Elementary, and Eliot, an adorable, lovable baby boy, for allowing her to be away from home so much to do what she loves.

Karen Greening

This is Mrs. Greening’s fourth year as the co-sponsor for the Mighty Norse Drama Club. Mrs. Greening is able to become a little bit more involved with the Theatre programs at NGHS each year and she loves the time she spends with the group.

Mrs. Greening earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Communications from Adams State College, a few years ago. She won’t be specific as to the year of her graduation because she tells her students and colleagues that she is 27 years old, and she doesn’t want the truth about her chronological age to get out!

In her spare time she enjoys performing with local community theatre groups and when she is in the building she can usually be seen in the halls or in her classroom dancing and singing. Her friends at school think she is hyper; she likes to say she is eccentric.

Mrs. Greening also loves spending time with her family; she is especially fond of the time that she is able to spend with her sons in the theatre. Mrs. Greening encourages students and parents who love excitement and fun to become involved with the theatre program at Northglenn.
